Pottery Bank Community Allotment has been up and running since April 2016, it is open to the local community in and around Walker.
Come along by yourself or in a group to learn how to grow fruit and veg.
We have formal courses or you can pop along as a volunteer to pick up the basics.

Volunteering

A relaxed and friendly space for local people to use and learn about growing vegetables, fruit and flowers. Gardening in the allotment is a great way to get some fresh air and meet new people, so why not think about doing some volunteering?

Women Together Get Growing Course

Women have enjoyed taking part in our 6 week course learning about growing vegetables and maintaining a garden area.

Produce

So far we have had some great produce from our allotment including carrots, potatoes and fresh salad vegetables which are currently being used in our community café.

Therapeutic Gardening Course

We offer a safe, supportive and caring environment for you or someone you know, to develop confidence and transferable skills so that you can live a fulfilling life as a part of the community
